Hey, I’m Corey.
I’m the host of The Corey Podcast, and if you’ve been around for a while, you might know me from Surviving It, Being Happier, or Frankly Speaking.
At my core, I’m a writer, storyteller, and artist. I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Michigan University with double majors in English and Sociology, a combination that continues to shape the way I see people, relationships, and the world around us. My background in writing taught me how to tell meaningful stories, while sociology gave me the tools to better understand the human behaviors, social patterns, and cultural forces that influence our lives every day.
I grew up in a small Michigan town where winters felt endless and stories traveled fast. Somewhere along the way, I realized storytelling wasn’t just something I enjoyed, it became the lens through which I made sense of people, experiences, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. Podcasting became the place where everything finally came together.
Today, I explore the conversations most people avoid. From relationships and identity to culture, personal growth, and the complexities of being human, I believe our stories often reveal more than our opinions ever could. My work is rooted in curiosity, reflection, and a genuine desire to understand why we do what we do.
I’m not a therapist or a psychologist. I’m someone who has lived through experiences that could have easily broken me. Instead, they became my greatest teachers. Every episode, blog post, and conversation is shaped by lived experience, thoughtful observation, and a lifelong fascination with human behavior.
If you’re someone who asks deeper questions, values honest conversations, and believes growth begins with self-awareness, you’re in the right place. This is a space for people who are curious about themselves, curious about others, and willing to challenge what they think they know.
This is my blog. I’m glad you’re here.
Welcome in.
