This week I watched a video of Zooey Deschanel trying a box of cookies from Crumbl Cookies, and it honestly made me laugh.
Not because the cookies were amazing or terrible. It was the honesty of it all.
She opened the box, tried the cookies one by one, and reacted exactly how a normal person would. Some were good (not at all) ,some were just okay. No dramatic performance about how life-changing every bite was, which is usually how these celebrity food moments go.
It reminded me of when I first tried Crumbl back when the whole craze started. My opinion was pretty simple. They weren’t the best cookies I’d ever had, but they weren’t the worst either. Very sweet, very big, very much what you’d expect.
But the honesty of the moment was refreshing, and it made the whole video genuinely funny.

And then there was this image I saw later in the week.
An older woman sitting there casually sipping a Coke while flipping someone the bird. No drama, no apology, just that effortless, matter of fact confidence that only certain older people seem to have.
That undeniable elderly spunk made me laugh immediately.
Some moments on the internet are chaotic. Others are just perfectly honest.
Those are usually the funniest ones.
Did anything make you laugh this week?
