There are some days that don’t ask much of you… and somehow give you everything anyway.

Today was one of those days.

I started my Wednesday heading into town to visit the Buddha, at one of my favorite spots, RoosRoast Coffee. You already know, you can’t go wrong there.

And tell me why… I’m driving, minding my business, and I look up…

“Oh look, the RoosRoast truck is following me. Did I forget to pay this time?”

Just kidding.

But honestly, it felt like the universe was like, “Yes Corey, you made the right choice today.”

If you grabbed a coffee today too, share it. I want to see your cup, your order, your moment in the comment section below.

After that, I made my way to one of my favorite spots to just sit and write… the very blog post you’re reading right now.

I found a seat under the pavilion, the kind of spot where time slows down just enough for you to actually hear yourself think.

And then, nature said hello.

A few little squirrels came through, bold as ever, like they pay rent there. And one really cute chipmunk, way too fast for me to catch on camera, of course. Isn’t that always how it goes? The cutest moments never sit still long enough.

And then came the locals.

Not just people… but their furry friends.

Dogs walking by like they’ve got places to be, people to see.

And then I met Diego.

A beautiful golden retriever, soft energy, kind eyes, just… one of those dogs that reminds you everything is okay. You know exactly what I mean.

We had a moment. A real one.

I got back to writing, finished my Americano, and then…

I just sat.

No scrolling, no rushing, no thinking about the next thing.

Just sitting there, taking in the sounds, the smell of spring…

Spring is in the air, dare I say.

And listen… I live in Michigan, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves. It could absolutely snow in May. That’s just part of the deal. If you know, you know.

But today?

Today felt like spring.

And just when I thought the day had already given me enough…

I saw the sweetest thing.

A family of geese, walking in a perfect little line, tiny gosling in tow. Little feet bopping, doing their best to keep up.

It was one of those quiet, beautiful reminders…

Life is always moving, always beginning again, always soft if you let it be.

All in all… it was just a beautiful day.

Nothing extravagant, nothing loud.

Just coffee, fresh air, a little writing, a few unexpected moments, and the feeling that maybe… just maybe… things are exactly as they should be.

I hope your Wednesday held something gentle like that too.

What did your Wednesday look like, and did you give yourself even five minutes to just sit and be in it?
